Saturday we walked only 3 1/2 hours but it rained the whole time. By the time we got to Navarette we were completely soaked. We decide this would be a short day.We bunked down with 13 wet Germans. They said we stunk ? Glad the showers were working. As always we found a local bar for coffee, beer, wine and food. All in all a good day. Today, Sunday we are in Azofra with clouds but no rain. This is a great Albergue with only two peligrinos to a room. Right now the sun is out and we are heading off for a coffee. After a week our legs and feet are much better. So many of the walkers are ten years older then us. Don´t know how they do it.
Friday night we stayed in Logrono at a nice hotel. The same hotel MJ and her sister stayed in last year. Terrific room with a bath tub. Most walkers do not stay in hotels because it costs a bit more but for us it is a nice break. We had a great time with eight or nine friends at dinner and a walk thru Calle San Juan, the tapas street for the locals. We said good bye to two friends we met from Germany, Andrea and Kiran who had to go back to work. Many walkers do part of the camino each year. In a day or so we will try to up load some pictures from our camera. Only having an ipad has been a limitation.
Sounds like more adventure. Glad to hear your feet are better.
