Great day walking through vineyards!
Cloudy day but no rain! Great for walking up hills, through valleys and the vineyards of La Rioja region. Walked 23.7 km from Navarrete to Azofra today. We were passed up by pilgrims far faster than us and we caught up with some we met a few days ago who were off and running when we took a short day. Pretty fun! The real reason we stay in the occassional hotel/Pension is to get some sleep. Last night´s sleep with a bunch of snoring smelly fellas was only superseded in sleeplessness by the night before in an Albergue were we bunked with two older ladies from Madrid - Falicitates and Teresa. We specifically asked for a bed in a smaller room with less people because we knew the chances of a good sleep were better than with 8 or 20... so we picked the room with 4! I mean how bad could it be with two sweet little old Spanish women? Well I´ll tell you how bad it was... It was a "Rancando Fiestä" Snoring Festival... All three of those people snored like there was no tomorrow... Dewey, Felicity, and Teresa..... I´´m tired.

I think it would be nice to walk thru. the vineyards. Still sounds like you're having fun.
ReplyDeleteFind some earplugs! They work really well for snoring mates. I learned this from my friend Pat and I don't travel without them any longer. It was the only way Amy survived on our vacation. She said we (me and Gordon) sounded like freight trains. LOL
ReplyDeleteIt does sound like you are having a good time. I will look forward to seeing any pictures.
Hey you guys! Just checked into your website again. Got swept up with things here and was out of town at Jimmy & Amy's last weekend. What an adventure you're on! I'm so proud of you guys! It's fun to hear about your days and the people you meet. You both have a unique style of writing. :-) So, you'll be fluent once again in your Spanish by the time you return, right? Till next time. Miss you guys. :-) Kay
